We're hiring a Field Marketing Manager to own the West Coast market pod, running high-impact events and in-market programs with a primary focus on dominating the San Diego and Los Angeles GovCon markets. This is an execution-first, in-person role where you'll be the face of GovDash in Southern California first, building deep roots, capturing content, and accelerating deals on the ground, before expanding your reach across the broader West Coast corridor.
We're looking for someone who is deeply embedded in the San Diego GovCon community and has strong footholds in or around the LA market. As a market pod owner, you'll operate as the dedicated field presence for your region, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the West Coast sales pod to drive pipeline, build community presence, and own GovDash's brand on the ground. San Diego and LA are the priority; the broader corridor (Bay Area, Phoenix, Colorado Springs, Denver, Seattle) is your expansion runway. You'll flex across events, content, logistics, partner engagement, and cross-functional work with Sales, Marketing, and Product Marketing. This role is intentionally broad and built for someone who likes owning outcomes, not just tasks.
Regular travel within Southern California is expected, with periodic travel across the broader West Coast corridor and select national tradeshows.
What You'll Do
Own the West Coast market pod's event calendar, planning and executing meetups, community events, tradeshows, and partner activations, prioritizing San Diego and LA, with expansion across the broader corridor.
Represent GovDash at GovCon associations, networking groups, and ecosystem events, with primary focus on San Diego and Los Angeles, and periodic presence across the broader corridor (Bay Area, Phoenix, Colorado Springs, Denver, Seattle).
Build and maintain relationships with organizers, partners, and industry leaders.
Own event logistics end-to-end: venues, vendors, budgets, shipping, timelines.
Capture and edit short-form video content for LinkedIn and field campaigns.
Partner tightly with the West Coast pod AEs and SDRs on account targeting, event outreach, and post-event follow-ups to drive pipeline conversion.
Surface West Coast market insights, competitive signals, and community feedback to inform GovDash's broader GTM strategy.
Support cross-functional marketing needs (webinars, campaigns, research, content).
What You'll Bring
3-6 years experience in events, community, partnerships, demand gen, or another cross-functional GTM/operations role.
Deep roots in the San Diego GovCon ecosystem with existing relationships across the local defense and contractor community; familiarity with the LA market strongly preferred. Broader West Coast corridor experience (Bay Area, Phoenix, Colorado Springs, Denver, Seattle) is a plus.
Ability to effectively manage multiple activities at once without sacrificing quality.
Comfort with AI tools for planning, content creation, and operational efficiency.
Experience capturing and editing short-form video content.
Track record running both small events and large tradeshows.
Strong collaboration with Sales and SDR teams.
Willingness to travel regularly within Southern California and periodically across the broader West Coast corridor; thrives in dynamic, in-person environments.
